George Mutter

George Mutter of Brussels and Listowel passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 at Huronlea Home for the Aged at the age of 85. He was born in Minto Township on April 8th, 1924.
Beloved husband of the late Aileen (Gilkinson) Mutter, who predeceased him in 2003; and dear father of Harold Mutter and wife Brenda of Wasaga Beach, Karen Chambers-Weishar and husband Ted of RR 2 Teeswater, and Paul Mutter and wife Barb of Brussels.
Also loved by his grandchildren Jeff and Jen, Tim and Carly, Trevor and Laura, Ang and Steve, Scott, Curtis and Katie, and Kevin and by his eight great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by his infant brother Harold.
Friends were received by the family on Tuesday, Feb. 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Schimanski Family Funeral Home, where the funeral was conducted on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. Interment in Harriston Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Huronlea Auxiliary would be appreciated.

George Harnock

George William Harnock passed away peacefully at his residence in Listowel on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010 at the age of 74.
Cherished husband for 25 years to Marie (nee Dorsch); beloved father of five children and their spouses, and 12 grandchildren. Survived by his brother Jim and his wife Lois.
Predeceased by his parents George and Ivy Harnock and sister Georgina Harnock.
Cremation has taken place. George’s family received visitors at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home & Chapel, Kitchener on Friday, Feb. 26 from 7-9 p.m. The memorial service was held in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Randy Banks presiding. A private family interment will take place at a later date.

Alice (VanDyke) Sjaarda

Alice (VanDyke) Sjaarda passed away peacefully at her home in Listowel, surrounded by her devoted family, on Monday, March 1, 2010 at the age of 83.
Dear wife of George Sjaarda for 13 years. They felt blessed by God to have found love and happiness twice in one lifetime. She was predeceased by her first husband, Anthony VanDyke.
Alice was a loving Mom, Grandma, and Oma Aaltje to Andrew and Marion VanDyke of Bradford (Owen, Jamie, Anthony, Bryan), Allan VanDyke of Bradford (Andrea, Ken, Danielle and fiancé Richard, Trevor), Linda and Bill Brouwer of Gads Hill (William and Jenny and their daughter Sophia, David and Karen, Erin, and Leah and Jeff VanderZwaag and their daughters Olivia and Katelyn), Treesa and Art Moor of Kettleby (Daryl, Jodie and Rob Ascenzi and their son Julian, Tanya, Jeff), Gord and Mona VanDyke of Atwood (Tyler, Heidi), and Agnes and John Byma of Waterloo (Danielle and Chris Streutker and their children Fiona and Ethan, Yvonne and Greg Meinema and their sons Samuel and Henry, David and Jackie Byma and their daughters Hailey and Katelyn, and Micheal and Melanie Byma and their children Anna and Jonah).
Also remembered by George’s children, Ted and Donnagene Sjaarda of Brownsville, David and Ronnie Sjaarda of London (Ryan, Lauren and Devon and their son Keynan, Kassandra) and Kim Sjaarda of Toronto.
Alice was an Aunt to the Barrow children, Maaike and Fred, Bob and Linda, and Elizabeth and John, whom Tony and Alice raised as part of their family. She will be truly missed by her brothers and sisters and their families, both in Canada and the Netherlands.
She was predeceased by her parents Elle and Tjitske Ellens, her infant granddaughter Lori-Ann Moor, and eldest brother Pieter.
Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Wednesday, March 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel, on Thursday, March 4 at 1 p.m. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
Memorial donations to the Right to Life Association or Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
